Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, California

This photo shows the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco, California. We came from the south and drove along Big Sur up to Sonoma Valley when we had to traverse the Golden Gate Bridge.
It was a foggy day in San Francisco but as you can see the scenery was fantastic!

I shot this picture of a yellow calla in the botanic garden of Balboa Park, San Diego.
The natural lighting was perfect and they seem to just have watered the flowers so I got natural water drops too!

Advertisement in own interest: we just published an addon for Prestashop called Prestashop Payment Reminder for Bankwire and the module does exactly what its name suggests. You might want to check it out if you own a Prestashop eCommerce business.

Ancient Passage in Balboa Park, San Diego

Today I present you a photograph of an ancient passage at Balboa Park in San Diego. I don't know how old the pillars and stairway really are but at least they look ancient.
One thing we realized here is that not everything that looks old truly is old. Especially when you are standing in front of an old looking church perceiving a perfect bell lyra. I mean really perfect in temperament and rhythm as you never heard it before. But when looking closely you could see loudspeakers instead of bells in the bell tower pointing in all four directions playing the perfect tune.

But it doesn't really matter how genuine and ancient something really is at long as it influences people's cognition and feelings in a good way. I mean when walking through the passages and across beautiful piazzas you could really feel Italian flair in the air and see happy people all around. I guess that's all that matters.

Natural Barcode on green Leaf

This picture was shot in the botanic garden of San Diego in Balboa Park. Looks like these green leafs have natural barcodes on them :-)
I wonder what the barcodes are for. If you know, please comment!

Just four words: We miss our Tiger!
If there weren't so many coyotes, rattlesnakes and cars in California we would really like him to be here with us. But we are sure he prefers staying at home at his Grandparents who coddle him :-)

Today I shot my first picture of a pelican. There are lots of them in the San Diego area and many of them can be found in the Cabrillo National Monument area.

A lonely flower in the Cabrillo National Monument area of San Diego. Shot at 50mm f/4.5 to get the flower sharp but the background blurry.

Where is the surfer?

Pyramid in the Dessert (Luxor Las Vegas)

We stayed in the Luxor hotel and casino in Las Vegas (Nevada) for four nights.
Las Vegas best summarized in just one word? --> Crazy!
It's really a crazy place there. A place that one must have seen to really believe it.
Unfortunately our perfect plan to play and win lots of money or a car didn't really succeed :-)
